Climate Change 2001: Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability
Second part of IPCC «Third Assessment Report» published

More than 160 delegates from 100 governments met in Geneva, Switzerland from 13-16 February to consider the Working Group II contribution to the Third Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) «Climate Change 2001: Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability». The full report, which runs approximately 1000 pages, represents nearly three years of work by more that 400 authors from around the world. The report went through extensive review by more than 400 governments and experts. In line with the IPCC Principles and Procedures, after four full days of discussion, the delegates unanimously approved the Summary for Policymakers of the report and accepted the full report. The Summary for Policymakers of the report can be downloaded as pdf file from the IPCC hompage. The full report will be published by Cambridge University Press. The latest findings of the three IPCC reports will be reviewed at the Joint ProClim, OcCC, BUWAL forum in Bern on March 19, 2001. The summaries will be presented by Swiss experts involved in the report.
