FP7 Outlook for environment and climate change

4th call will launch this summer

The seventh framework program will launch this summer its 4th call in the theme Environment and Climate Change. It addressed main needs for research to solve global environmental problems, addressed by European policy. However, the structure of the program remains the same as in the previous years:

  • Climate change, pollution and risks
  • Sustainable Management of Resources
  • Environmental Technologies
  • Earth Observation & assessment tools
  • Horizontal Actions
Additional topics on the Global Monitoring for Environment and Space (GMES) can be found in the Space activity. Under the economy recovery plan several activities for a public private partnership (PPP) have been launched including sustainable building technologies and green cars.
All topics with a detailed description on what is expected by the commission will be published on 31th July on Cordis, with a deadline for submission of proposals on 5th Jan. 2010. To help researchers to find their way through the dingle of requirements for FP7 Euresearch is mandated to motivate, inform, train and advice researchers for a successful project.
