Global Land Project (2005)
Science Plan & Implementation Strategy
The Global Land Project (GLP) is a new project to improve the understanding of the coupled human-terrestrial environment system in the context of Earth System functioning.
GLP will build on the extensive heritage of the International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme (IGBP) and the International Human Dimensions Programme on Global Environmental Change (IHDP) networks of scientists, data and largely disciplinary understanding, particularly from the IGBP project on Global Change and Terrestrial Ecosystems (GCTE) and from the joint IGBP-IHDP project on Land Use and Cover Change (LUCC).
