For his excellent contributions to the understanding of long-term changes in the ozone concentration in the lower stratosphere at high and mid-latitudes, Dominik Brunner from the ETH Zurich received the 2005 award of the Commission on Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics (ACP). Using both advanced statistical methods and physical-chemical models Dominik Brunner could separate the influence of a number of different factors contributing to ozone trends and variability. This year's award is co-sponsored by the Swiss Agency for the Environment, Forests and Landscape SAEFL (BUWAL).
