IPCC: Call for participation in the Scoping Meeting for drafting the outline of the Seventh Assessment Report (AR7)
The IPCC is looking for experts to participate in the Scoping Meeting for drafting the outline of the Working group contributions to the Seventh Assessment Report (AR7). The Scoping Meeting is scheduled for December 2024, tentatively in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The deadline for nomination is 24 May 2024.
April 2024 - vom Frühsommer in den Winter
Der April bescherte der Schweiz in der ersten Monatshälfte frühsommerliche Verhältnisse mit zahlreichen April-Temperaturrekorden. In der zweiten Monatshälfte meldete sich auf der Alpennordseite der Winter zurück mit Schneefall bis in tiefe Lagen.

On 10 April 2024, the Swiss climate and global change science community met for the 24th time at the annual Swiss Global Change Day. About 180 participants attended the event and 60 posters were exhibited. Distinguished researchers presented scientific highlights and the programme provided enough time for discussions and networking.

La Suisse continuera à soutenir le Fonds vert pour le climat (Green Climate Fund, GCF), avec une contribution totale de 135 millions de francs au cours des quatre prochaines années. C’est ce qu’a décidé le Conseil fédéral lors de sa séance du 10 avril 2024. Le GCF soutient les pays en développement dans la mise en œuvre de la Convention des Nations Unies sur le climat et de l’Accord de Paris. Il finance notamment des mesures de réduction des émissions de gaz à effet de serre et d’adaptation au changement climatique.
